Barrios Mangoré, Agustín
Agustín Barrios Mangoré
Paraguayan composer Augustín Barrios Mangoré (1885-1944).
Barrios belongs without doubt among the most colourful personalities in the history of the guitar. He was of Indian ancestry and was a great success with his guitar as Big Chief Mangoré. He also was the first guitarist to make a grammophone recording - in 1910.
