Joseph Bodin de Boismortier



French composer Joseph Bodin de Boismortier (1689-1755) was among the most popular composers of 18th century France. Although his works aimed to please the listeners, Basmortier was a knowledgeable composer. He was the first French composer to work within the new Italian innovation, the concerto.
