Mauro Giuliani

Italian composer Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829) was a guitar virtuoso and a prolific composer for solo and duo guitar, chamber music, songs and concertos. Being a friend of Beethoven and Rossini lent him to be influenced by these two composers and this can be heard in many of his compositions. He worked as a teacher, performer and composer in Vienna between 1806 and 1819, then returned to Italy.
