Nikolai Obouhov



Russian composer Nikolai Obouhov (1892-1954). Profoundly religious and anticommunist, Obouhov emigrated to France in 1918. There he survived on all kinds of jobs. His music deserves better than to waste away in oblivion. Just as with Scriabin, the mystical component tends to obscure the quite real qualities of invention.
