Carl Stamitz

German composer Carl Stamitz (1745-1801).
He is the best known representative of the second generation of composers who were active at the court of the Elektor Palatine in Mannheim during the middle decades of the 18th century. Stamitz avoided binding, long-term working relationships, av very new phenomenom in the artistic circles of the period.
