Louis Vierne

French composer and organist Louis Vierne (1870-1937). Born nearly blind, César Franck's organ class at the Paris Conservatory. Organist of Notre-Dame de Paris. One of those fabulous Frenchmen who in the decades after the turn of the century (early 20th century) gave the organ a rich, striking and cathedral-inspired repertoire.
