Juha Kangas

Finnish conductor Juha Kangas (born 1945) founded the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, which he still conducts, in 1972. Kangas has instrumental folk music in his blood and began his career as a folk fiddler. His roots are in Kaustinen, where the folk music tradition is still very much alive.
