Frans Rasmussen

Danish conductor Frans Rasmussen (b.1944). Educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. In 1986 he was appointed assistant professor at the Academy and in the period 1980-86 he was chorus master at the Royal Opera. From 1994 until 99 he was artistic director of the Queen’s Royal Guard. Rasmussen har appeared fequently with symphony orchestras at home and abroad. In 1986 he was nomintated Conductor of the Year by the European Broadcasting Union.
