Hans Rosbaud



Austrain conductor Hans Rosbaud (1895-1962) .An 'universalist'? That is a musician who puts his trust in the new as well as the old, who is moreover not less interested in art, literature and, for instance, speaks two ancient and five modern lagnugages. Rosbaud (1895-1962) made numerous guest appearances which took him to nearly all countries of europé, to South America and South Africa, and of course to the USA. From 1948 to his death chief conductor of the SWR Symphony Orchestra of Baden-Baden and Freiburg.
