Hans Zender



German conductor and composer Hans Zender (b. 1936). He studied composition, piano and conducting at the conservatories of Frankfurt and Freiburg. Conductor at the operas in Bonn and Hamburg, chief director of the Radio Symphony Orchestra Saarbrücken. In 1997 Zender was awarded the Goethe-Prize of the City of Frankfurt. Since 1999 Permanent Guest Conductor of the SWR Symphony Orchestra of Baden-Baden and Freiburg.
