Italian composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco (1895-1968). He was a neo-classicist, a neo-romantic, a composer of accessible music that charms with its courtly grace, good humour and directness. With his roots in an old Spanish-Jewish family he was obliged to seek refuge in the USA in 1939 and he remained there until he died in Hollywood. His interest in the guitar awakened by a request from Segovia, in 1932.
