Well, I couldn't have said it better myself, says Robert von Bahr. Add to this that Mark has written all texts himself, showing his knowledge and deep understanding for this incredible music (what a pity I couldn't persuade Shostakovich to write a flute concerto, when we corresponded in the '70:s). This notwithstanding, this is one of the series on BIS that one would consider to be a "secret tip", when it comes to selling - it sold nowhere near what it ought to have in physical form.

Please do note that the recordings from Wales have all been upsampled to 24-bit from the original 16-bit, of course without increasing the 24-bit price.
