Swedish Linné Quintet, a brass quintet based in Uppsala. Since 1986 The Linné Quintet has been a dynamic force in Swedish music. From the outset the ensemble has made a point of revitalising the repertoire for brass quintet. In it’s role as a regional ensemble under the aegis of Musik i Uppland the quintet plays on ceremonial occasions in Uppsala Cathedral as well as at university ceremonies and other public functions. School concerts, master-classes and collaboration with music schools are other important components in their work. In addition, the quintet also forms the basis of the brassection of the Uppsala Chamber Orchestra.
