Lajos Lencsés

'Lajos Lencsés (born 1943) is one of the greatest oboists of today', wrote the respected French music journal Diapason in 1990, when the musician was awarded the 'Diapason d'Or'. His comprehensive repertoire, which ranges from the Baroque to the music of our time, is reflected by the large number of recordings he has made. In 2003 he was awarded the Hungarian Knight's Cross for his extensive artistic activities.
