Elisabeth Westenholz



Danish pianist and organ player Elisabeth Westenholz.
Westenholz studied under Ester Vagning and Arne Skjold Rasmussen in Copenhagen and later in Vienna under Bruno Seidlhofer and Alfred Brendel. With her professional début she started a brilliant career which has made her a much sought-after pianist all over the world, both as a concert pianist and as a chamber musician. She has participated in numerous festivals including Montreux-Vevey, the Ludwigsburger Festspiele and Concertgebouw Festival in Amsterdam. Elisabeth Westenholz has been awarded several honours and prizes including the Danish Music Critics Award, the Carl Nielsen Travelling Prize and the Gladsaxe Music Prize.
