Garth Neustadter (b.1986) composed Seaborne in 2018 with a commission from The Brookby Foundation. The work explores our perception of water from three vantage points — aerial (Above), surface (At) and underwater (Within) — reflecting water's inherent motion and rhythm through the textures of percussion ensemble. The Percussion Collective, founded and led by the legendary performer and pedagogue Robert van Sice, is dedicated to reinventing the concert experience through uncommon performance encounters that engage audiences at a profound emotional level. Together they bring both technical mastery and imaginative depth to this immersive sonic landscape.
