Strings Attached: The Voice of Kannel

24 FLAC Discount

Born 1988, Anna-Liisa Eller is an expert player of the kannel – a traditional plucked string instrument from Estonia. On her harmonia mundi debut album, she utilises the meditative sound of her instrument to create intriguing new interpretations of well-loved pieces by Couperin, Byrd, Dowland, and Rameau. These works are complimented by original improvisations and a piece by young Estonian composer Helena Tulve.
