Evocation

Dupré's 'symphonic poem' Evocation, dedicated to the memory of his father. The dark atmosphere which permeates large sections of the work should be seen against the historical background: it was written during the first years of the Second World War. All three movements: Moderato, Adagio con tenerezza and Allegro deciso.
