Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf



Austrian composer Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf (1739-1799). Already in his youth von Dittersdorf was appearing as a virtuoso violinist, later became a celebrated opera composer. He worked for years as music director and successor to Michael Haydn in Hungary. Widely renowned in his day, a major figure of the Viennese Classical school.
