This is the third CD Christian Lindberg made, and with which he really broke through. After having recorded the Virtuoso Trombone and the Romantic Trombone, the Burlesque Trombone hit it off. Here Christian, together with his partner of decades, Roland Pöntinen, mixes "serious" music with other pieces, where they let their hair (or whatever was left of it) down, all the way to downright jokes - just listen to Julius Jacobsen's "Sonata Serioso" - a commission of mine after my idea. It is hilarious, and the playing, like the rest of this CD, is just unbelievable.
