Jacques Gallot



French composer Jacques Gallot (c.1602-1690), also known as 'le Vieux Gallot de Paris', was a student of Ennemond Gaultier and, like his teacher, came from a family of lutenists. Gallot mixed with the most important circles of the society in Paris.
