Peter Maxwell Davies

British composer Peter Maxwell Davies (b. 1934). Davies has been the Master of the Queen's Music since 2004. He has lived for many years in Orkney, a region of islands off the northernmost tip of Scotland, where the landscape and solitude have had an undoubted effect on his music.
