Cherubini, Luigi
Italian composer Luigi Cherubini (1760-1842) studied music in Bologna and Milan from 1778 to 1780. In 1788 he moved to Paris as an opera composer. Later Cherubini turned to church music, but he also wrote a symphony and six string quartets, which make their effect through the creative use of instrumental color.
