German/Swedish composer Andreas Düben (1597-1662).
Düben the elder was the first in a line of musicians from the well-known Düben family. He was also founder of the Düben collection at Uppsala University. Originally from Leipzig, he came to Stockholm in 1620 where he was court organist until 1640 when he was appointed conductor of the Royal Orchestra.
