Croatian composer Milko Kelemen (b. 1924). Received diplomas in composition and conducting from the State College of Music in Zagrev in 1952. In 1961 Kelemen organized th Zagreb Biennale. Professor of composition at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, guest professor at various American universitites. He has been awarded numerous international prizes for his works as a composer, among them the major prize of Yugoslav Television, the prize of the Italian section of the ISCM and the Beethoven Prize.
