Linde, Bo
Swedish composer Bo Linde (1933-1970). As an infant prodigy he had astounded people in his native town of Gävle and he was admitted to the Royal College of Music in Stockholm when he was only fifteen. His friend and colleague Jan Carlstedt called Linde's music 'typically Nordic', though the style is also reminiscent of European contemporaries such as Prokofiev and Britten. When he died at the early age of 37, his work list already totalled some forty compositions.
