Mantua, Jacquet de
Composer Jacquet de Mantua (1483-1559). He was maestro di capella at Mantua Cathedral. Had direct responsibility to a single patron, Ercole Cardinal Gonzaga, bishop of Mantua, papal legate to Charles V and ultimately president of the Council of Trent.
