Präger, Heinrich Aloys
German composer Heinrich Aloys Präger (1783-1854).
Born in Amsterdam, grew up in Braunschweig where he became a virtuoso violinist. From 1815 until 1840 he worked in Northern Germany as a conductor and virtuoso on both violin and guitar. From1818 until 1828 Präger was engaged as Director Musices at the theatres in Leipzig and Magdeburg.
