Born in New York City, John Fiore has made a name for himself among the leading conductors of the younger generation. He regularly works with the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Semperoper in Dresden, the Australian Opera, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Gürzenich Orchestra in Cologne and the New York Chamber Orchestra, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Houston Grand Opera. Since the 1999-2000 season, Fiore has been chief conductor of the 'Deutsche Oper am Rhein'. In 2000 he was also appointed General Music Director of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra.
