The Swedish conductor Anders Öhrwall (born 1932) has been Director of Music at Adolf Fredrik Church since 1962. He founded the Stockholm Bach Choir in 1964. Its many successes under his direction have included numerous recordings and concerts together with Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Concentus Musicus of Vienna. The choir has also undertaken widely acclaimed concert tours of Japan, China, Australia and various European countries.
