Carl Nielsen's complete organ music. The centrepiece is Commotio Op.58 (1930–31), a monumental work spanning 511 bars that Nielsen described as his attempt to reconstruct the one and only true organ style. The 29 Small Preludes Op.51, composed in February–March 1929, were first performed in January 1930. The Three Motets, written in the summer of 1929 and inspired by Palestrina, received their premiere in April 1930 by Mogens Woldike's Palestrina Choir — just weeks before Nielsen's 70th birthday.
