Dan Laurin, one of Sweden's foremost recorder virtuosos, performs six concertos by Vivaldi with the Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble. The programme includes the vivid 'La tempesta di mare' RV433 and the atmospheric 'La notte' RV439, alongside four further concertos. The Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble, founded in 1971, performs on period instruments, bringing an authentic Baroque sonority to these sparkling works. Laurin's virtuosity on both sopranino and treble recorders is showcased throughout this outstanding recording.
