Mario Lanza's golden voice and natural charisma made him one of the great stars of the post-war years, from his MGM film debut in 1949 to his hit recordings and radio show. For tenor Stephen Costello, who grew up in Northeast Philadelphia hearing Lanza's voice all around him, this album is a personal tribute to the singer who first inspired him. The program gathers twelve of Lanza's signature songs, including Without a Song, Romberg's Serenade and Golden Days from The Student Prince, Lehár's Yours Is My Heart Alone, Rodgers's You'll Never Walk Alone, Agustín Lara's Granada and the title song Be My Love. Constantine Orbelian conducts the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra in new arrangements by Flaviu Mogosan, recorded in Lithuania in 2025.
