Terra Nova Collective: A Summit Meeting in Brussels
Following its gripping interpretation of “La Passione”, the Terra Nova Collective under the direction of Vlad Weverbergh continues its remarkable artistic journey. With its latest release of Symphony No. 41 “Jupiter” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the ensemble proves that it can bring even the most celebrated summits of music history to life with extraordinary brilliance and vitality.
Yet this Mozart is no end in itself, but rather a bridge through music history. It leads back to Brussels, where the young Mozart encountered the Flemish court musician Pieter van Maldere as early as 1763. Driven by its mission to hear music history anew, the ensemble is helping this unjustly forgotten master reclaim his place in the pantheon of European classical music. After centuries in the archives, van Maldere is soon to take his rightful place alongside the great masters of the Viennese Classical tradition.
Stay tuned.
