The second movie music album, "Cinema Nostalgia II - FATUM," by the Piazzolla specialist ensemble, El Cielo 2020. While the previous work "Nostalgia" traveled through foreign films, this work dives deeper into the memories of Japanese cinema. Regarding the masterpiece Shukumei from the classic Japanese film The Castle of Sand, for which arrangements had never been permitted before, the first official authorization was obtained from the rights holder. A new recording has been realized across 50 years. Replacing the original piano and orchestral composition with an arrangement for piano, strings, and flute, it depicts the torrent of sorrow and the intensity dwelling within the human heart through a modern resonance. Furthermore, the 2-disc set includes a total of 16 tracks, including Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence, Toru Takemitsu's The Face of Another and Small Sky, and Takashi Yoshimatsu's Villon's Wife. Through the sense of tension and passion-filled performance unique to El Cielo 2020, these masterpieces are reborn with new life and drama.
