Julsrud, Mona
Mona JulsrudNorwegian soprano Mona Julsrud (born 1963). Her repertoire spans from early baroque to contemporary, and she is particularly well known for her interpretations of church music. She has appeared in major concert-halls and cathedrals throughout Europe. For BIS, she has recorded Torsten Nilsson’s complete works for soprano and organ with Bjørn Kåse Moe (BIS-CD-924) and The Lonely Shepherd, a set of five cantatas by Pepusch, with the ensemble Bergen Baroque (BIS-CD-965). Mona Julsrud studied in Oslo and at the Royal College of Music in London. She is currently Associate Professor at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
