Russian pianist Valery Kuleshov (b. 1962) . Gold medalist at the Busoni International Piano Competition in Italy 1987 and first prize at tthe Pro Piano International Competition in New York 1998. Kuleshov has pursued a very successful career with critically acclaimed appearances all over the world. In 1997 he was named an Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, one of the highest distinctions of his native land. He has accomplished the unique and difficult work of writing out, from listening to LP-recordings, the great Vladimir Horowitz unpublished piano transcriptions.
