American pianist Garrick Ohlsson (b.1948).
He is universally recognized as one of the most prodigiously gifted artists in the annals of piano-playing. The first American to win the Gold Medal at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw, in 1970. Awarded the Avery Fisher Prize in 1994. Founding member of the San Francisco-based FOG trio.
