Chiyuki UranoAfter studying the horn at Tokyo Geijutsu University (Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music), Chiyuki Urano, baritone, decided to concentrate on singing. He has received several awards at important competitions in Japan such as the Japan Music Competition and the Sogakudo Competition of Japanese Art Song. He has often appeared in opera and oratorio and has also developed his career as a recitalist. His interpretations of Russian art songs in particular have been highly acclaimed. Recently Urano has been one of the regular soloists with the Bach Collegium Japan, in concerts and on CD.
