The American singer Christine Whittlesey took instruction in singing and piano in Boston and began her career by performing in various opera productions in the U.S. In 1981, she moved to Germany. She has dedicated herself in particular to songs and contemporary music. Since 1991, she has been living in Austria, where she teaches song and oratorio at the Art Academy of Graz.
