Cornelia Kallisch

German/Swiss Cornelia Kallisch (bprn 1956) is an extraordinarily versatile mezzo-soprano whose repertoire ranges from the operas of Monteverdi to works by Krenek and Berio. She has sung in concert with great international orchestras, including the Munich Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Orchestre de Paris, the New York PO, with such renowned condudctors as Maazel, Sawallisch, Marriner, Prêtre, Harnoncourt and Dohnanyi. She has made guest appearances at many operas playing the great roles of her profession and has a standing engagement at the Zurich opera house.
