Oleh Krysa



Ukraine/American violinist Oleh Krysa (b. 1942), a 'musician of the first rank' (New York Times). A prominent student of David Oistrakh, Oleh Krysa won major prizes at the Wieniawski, Tchaikovsky, and Montreal competitions and was the winner of the Paganini competition in 1963. He has performed as a soloist in major music centers throughout the world, and with leading orchestras, conductors and ensembles. Since 1993 Professor of violin at the Eastman School of Music.
