Kalle Randalu



Estonian pianist Kalle Randalu (b.1956).
At the age of six he entered the special school in Tallinn for musically gifted children. He studied the piano at the Tallinn Conservatory and then at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1971 he won the competition for young pianists in Czechoslovakia and he has since won prizes at several other major competitions including the 1982 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and the 1985 German Television (ARD) Competition in Munich.
Randalu moved to Germany in 1988 and is since 1989 Professor at the Music College in Karlsruhe.
