Symphony No. 2: II. Andante lento espressivo

August Enna (1859–1939) was a prolific composer of opera whose works were performed widely across Europe and as far away as the US and Australia – yet he failed to make a significant impact in his native Denmark. This album presents two of his most charming orchestral works. While Symphony No. 2 may be considered conservative for its era, it is abundantly rich in its continuous melodic flow.
