Tavener's Trisagion, adapted for ten players by Roger Harvey. The work is a synthesis of a vocal, chamber-music-like style and a harmonic, sacred one: and this can also be perceived spatially, as the instruments are arranged in two groups. Although the original specifies a quintet, it can be effectively performed by a tentet. This also creates the intended transparency of the two musical lines.
