Dukas, Paul
French composer Paul Dukas (1865-1935) was a much-admired composer around the turn of the century 1900. He taught at the Paris Conservatoire and held a high reputation as a critic. Dukas was highly critical of his own compositions and left behind him only seven major and five minor works, despirte composing continuosly up to his 70th year.
