Scriabin, Alexander
Russian composer Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915) continued the traditions of Chopin, Schumann, Wagner and Liszt while at the same time being an avant-garde composer with a touch of mysticism. His interest in philosphy and theosophical theories influenced the later form of his composition, particularly the larger scale orchestral works, while his later piano music explores new musical territory.
