Gunzenhauser, Stephen
American conductor and Music Director of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and, since 1979, of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra in Lancaster, PA, Stephen Gunzenhauser is a graduate of the Oberlin College and the New England Conservatory. He has worked as an assistant with Igor Markevich and Leopold Stokowski, before becoming executive and artistic director of the Wilmington Music School in 1974. Appointed to be Delaware's 'First Cultural Ambassador' in 1990 and was 1999 awarded the 'Order of the First State'.
