Mera, Yoshikazu
Japanese counter-tenor Yoshikazu Mera (born 1971).
His register is three and a half octaves. When he was at the university he learned about classical music and changed from tenor to counter-tenor. After graduating from the Music College Mera won the first prize in the Eighth Early Music Folk Songs Competition in 1994 and the sixth Tochigi Music Festival Award.
