Lilli PaasikiviThe Finnish mezzo-soprano Lilli Paasikivi studied singing at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm under Solwig Grippe, at the Royal College of Music in London under Neil Mackie and as a private pupil of Dame Janet Baker. Since the autumn of 1998 she has been a soloist with the Finnish National Opera, but she also makes appearances at other prestigious opera houses, such as Le Châtelet in Paris, La Monnaie in Brussels and l’Opéra de Lyon and at festivals such as Savonlinna Opera Festival and Aix-en-Provence.
Lilli Paasikivi is in demand for concerts at major music centres all over the world and has worked with conductors such as Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Lorin Maazel, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Mariss Jansons and Sir Simon Rattle.
